Kaniz Sultana, FCCA; Subject Matter Expert- Business Finance
Under the finance chapters’ initiative of the Talent Forum, Ms. Kaniz Sultana is working as a Subject Matter Expert-Finance. With a focus on the FMCG, retail, and startup industries, this role offers business finance advisory services to the Talent Forum. This is an external rol that falls under the purview of SME policy.
Her previous role at Unilever Bangladesh was Finance Business Partner, CD/Sales. Within Unilever Bangladesh, she accomplished notable feats such as conducting thorough investment appraisals on CD/Sales projects prior to their launch, overseeing 14 financial projects concurrently, leading distributor financing operations throughout the country, effectively managing ROI-based distribution models, managing the audit of distribution houses throughout the country on a sample basis, utilizing consumer business intelligence to assess the sales performance of all sales regions of the country, and managing the financial hygiene of Unilever Bangladesh’s CD/Sales division.
She was a Finance Controller – NRS in Bata, Bangladesh, before to it. She worked as the finance lead for ACI Limited and KPMG. She worked for an INGO as a project controller. She collaborates with academic institutions to train accounting experts.
She upholds high achievement in business finance, passionately delivers results through experience, competencies, and intellect, and maintains ethics in her profession. She trusts in perpetual innovation in business finance partnering and its restructuring.
She is passionate about programs that promote employee engagement and employee development in the corporate and social sectors.
She is a fellow chartered accountant and she has an MBA from the University of Dhaka with a specialization in international business.
Saikh Bin Abedin; Subject Matter Expert —Tax, VAT and Customs at the Talent Forum
Under the Finance Chapters’ initiative of Talent Forum, Mr. Saikh Bin Abedin is currently serving as a Subject Matter Expert in tax, VAT, and customs.
He is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a publicly listed company. He had positions as Senior Operations Control Manager in an MNC company, as Tax Manager at the biggest e-commerce platform, and as Accounts Manager at a top automobile company. He began his professional career with one of Bangladesh’s biggest conglomerates. He is a professional income tax practitioner.
He is a seasoned professional in tax, VAT and customs, internal control, and statutory compliance.
He is passionate about the programs that promote knowledge sharing, community engagement in the social sector, and employee development in the social sector.
And he embraces a high level of values and ethics in his profession.
